Emporia State loses heartbreaker 14-13 to Pittsburg State

A heartbreaking loss for the Emporia State football team Saturday. Pittsburg State slipped past the Hornets 14-13.

Coach Garin Higgins said they did not get the job done at key times in the game.

Emporia State quarterback Braden Gleason threw 2 first-half touchdown passes to lead the offense.

Tyler Kahman and Corey Thomas caught the touchdown passes.

Defensively Montrell Wilson had 2 interceptions, one in the endzone.

Emporia State missed two field goal attempts and an extra point in the game.

The Hornets fall to 2-2 for the season. They play at Washburn next Saturday.
