Emporia State Cross Country runners win on new home course

Emporia State cross country runners finished in 1st place in the first race on a new course Friday.

The new course is set up around the Trusler Sports Complex.

The women finished in 1st place. They were led by Tayler Williams.

Emporia State had 4 other runners finish in the top 20, Ayden Kearney finished 4th, Irina Honc 8th, Hannah Showalter 12th, and Mason Bina 18th.

The Emporia State men also finished in 1st place led by Tyler Swift.

The Emporia State men had 4 other runners finish in the top 10, Jamie Diaz finished in 2nd place, Henry Jones 4th, Cody Achilles 8th, and Luke Gleason finished in 10th place.

The Emporia State cross-country teams will run in the University of Missouri Gans Creek Invitational next Friday.
