MacDermid Cup Homecoming

Sauble Beach native Kurtis MacDermid had his day with the Stanley Cup yesterday

MacDermid, a defenceman with the Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche, showcased the Cup at the Shallow Lake Arena where he played Minor Jockey & during a parade along Lakeshore Boulevard at Sauble Beach that was attended by a large throng

Owen Sound teenager Jesse Walker will be doing a long distance run on Saturday to raise funds for Childhood Cancer Research.

This is the 3rd year in a row that Jesse has done a long distance run and over the course of the first 2 years he’s generated in excess of $ 50,000.
